OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Mary Fallin made appointments to the following boards and committees.
State Bond Advisor’s Office
Jim Joseph of Edmond is currently the assistant director of capital finance and debt management for Oklahoma State University. He also serves as the chairman of the debt committee for the Municipal Treasures Association and he is an associate for the Government Finance Officers. He is serving a four year term, replacing Tim Martin.
Children of Incarcerated Parents Task Force
Jeane Burruss of Oklahoma City is the project manager for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. She is also a coordinator for the State Workforce Youth Council and the project manager for Oklahoma Work Ready Communities. She is serving a term until 2012.
Jay Keel of Ada is an administrator of Youth and Family Services for The Chickasaw Nation. He has served on the board of directors at the Ada Family Crisis Center , Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs, Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy, Prevent Child Abuse Oklahoma and Caring for Ada’s Children. He is serving a term through 2012.
Rebecca Frazier from Moore serves as the deputy general counsel for Governor Mary Fallin. Frazier earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma Law School. She is serving a term through 2012.
Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden Authority
Charles Thornbrugh of Broken Arrow is the public and government affairs manager at QuickTrip Corporation. His term will expire in January 2012
Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs
Timothy Harris of Tulsa is the Tulsa County District Attorney. He was reappointed and is serving a seven year term.
Crime Victims Compensation Board
Debra Stanaland of Edmond is the senior director of crisis response and outreach services for the YWCA of Oklahoma City. She is also the owner of Stanaland Consulting, where she does independent consulting for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. She is serving a four year term.
Southern Region Education Board
Glen Johnson of Oklahoma City is chief executive officer for the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. He is serving a four year term and has been reappointed.
Oversight Committee for State Charitable Contributions
Keili McEwen of Oklahoma City is the director of constituent services for the Office of Governor Mary Fallin. She is replacing Jerry Pectol.
Education Commission of the States
Phyllis Hudecki of Edmond is the executive director of the Oklahoma Business and Education Coalition. Hudecki also serves as the Secretary of Education and on the Teacher Leader and Effectiveness Commission. She will replace Nance Diamond.
National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws
Rusty LaForge of Oklahoma City is an attorney at McAfee and Taft. He is also a certified public accountant and is a member of both the Texas and Oklahoma Bar Association. He will serve a four year term and is replacing Judge Ralph Thompson.
Chair of the Oklahoma Bioenergy Center Board
Mike Ming of Edmond is the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy. He will serve at the pleasure of the governor and is replacing David Fleischaker, who resigned.
Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission
Dan Mullins of Lawton owns Dan Mullins Nissan. He previously served on the Motor Vehicle Commission from 1996 – 2005. Mullins will serve a six year term and is replacing David Howe.
Fred Harlan of Okmulgee owns Fred Harlan Motor Company. He will serve a six year term and is replacing Steve Kissee.
Lenard Northcutt of Enid owns Northcutt Chevrolet – Buick. He served as the director of the Motor Vehicle Commission from 1997 – 2003. He is serving a six year term replacing David Howe.
Teacher Leader and Effectiveness Commission
Sheila Groves of Broken Arrow is the president of the Oklahoma PTA and a systems analyst at Broken Arrow Public Schools. She is filling a new position and is serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Joel Robison of Edmond is the associate executive director and chief lobbyist of the Oklahoma Education Association. He is filling a new position and is serving at the pleasure of the governor.
Ed Allen of Yukon is president of the Oklahoma American Federation of Teachers. He is filling a new position and is serving at the pleasure of the governor.
State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
Bill Kinsinger of Oklahoma City is an anesthesiologist at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Mercy Hospital and Lake Side Women’s Hospital. He is also an assistant professor at the Oklahoma Health Science Center. Kinsinger will serve a seven year term and is replacing Curtis Harris.
Board of Regents of Northern Oklahoma College
Jeffrey Cowan of Ponca City is the president of RCB Bank. He will serve a three year term and is replacing Jeff Smith.
Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Commission
Gean Atkinson of Edmond is the president of Atkinson Advertising Associates. He will serve a five year term and is replacing Melvin Moran, who resigned.
Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System
Stephen Paris of Guthrie is the director and manager at the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology. He has been reappointed and will serve a four year term.
DeWayne McAnally of Oklahoma City is president of The Advisory Group, an investment management firm. He has been reappointed and will serve a four year term.
