OKLAHOMA CITY - Governor Mary Fallin today released the following statement wishing Oklahomans a happy Independence Day:
"We are blessed to live in a country where freedom and liberty are still valued. This holiday, let's not forget to keep in our thoughts and prayers those who have served and currently serve in our nation's military. Their courage, sacrifice and service ensure our rights and liberties are passed along to future generations of Americans."
NOTE: The office of Governor Mary Fallin will be closed Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
