OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Mary Fallin today released the following statement concerning Veterans Day:
“This Veterans Day, I’m asking all Oklahomans to join me in thanking every man and woman who has worn the uniform of the United States military, as well as their families, not just on this day but every day. Please join me in saying a prayer for our men and women in the military and thanking them for their time and sacrifice.
“This year, we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the November 11, 1918, signing of the Armistice that ended hostilities in World War I. It is fitting to pause and reflect on the sacrifice and service of veterans of World War I, and all veterans.”
